Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) Home Project of the Week Campaign – Week 3

Last week we focused on the roof. Hopefully, you were able to take advantage of the nicer weather to get your roof ready for the summer. This week we are working on the vegetation around your home.
 
Week 3 Project: PRUNING
 
This week the project is PRUNING. Cut tree branches so that the lowest branches are 6 to 10 feet off the ground and aren’t overhanging the roof, decks, or porches. Cut bushes and shrubs so that they aren’t touching your home and remove dead vegetation.
