Captain Michael Patterson Recieves Letter of Commendation

A Letter of Commendation has been awarded to Captain Michael Patterson for exemplary performance of duties.

This past November, Captain Michael Patterson, and his crew responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian call. While caring for the young pedestrian, it was discovered that his prized skateboard was damaged beyond repair. Captain Patterson wanted to replace the skateboard and, on his own accord, thoughtfully picked out and purchased a skateboard with his own money. He and his crew then delivered it to the patient’s home.

Captain Patterson was awarded a Letter of Commendation in recognition of his efforts. His actions on-scene caring for the patient and recognizing the importance of the young man’s skateboard is an excellent example of our Guiding Value of Selfless Service.
