Wildfire Home Project of the Week-Home Hardening! Hardening your home helps defend your property against dangerous embers spread by wildfire. Taking the necessary measures to harden and prepare your home now can help increase its likelihood of survival if wildfire strikes and limit the additional threats to your community. Here are some tips:

-Create a barrier to keep the fire from spreading to your home

-In the immediate zone, 0-5 feet from your home, create a buffer by replacing mulch and flammable ground cover with rock or other flame-resistant material.
