Register now for our Scouts at the Fire Station events! All adventure and scouting groups are welcome. Two opportunities are available: Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Puget Sound Fire Authority Station 74, 24611 116th Ave. SE. in Kent, or Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at VRFA Station 33, 500 182nd Ave. E. in Auburn. Several learning stations will be offered to assist scouts in meeting badge requirements including first aid, knot tying, emergency preparedness, cooking safety, smoke alarms, fire escape planning, 9-1-1, forensics, and more. Our partners for the event include the Auburn and Kent Police departments, King County E 9-1-1, the Auburn Valley Humane Society, Auburn and Kent city emergency management departments, and Zone 3 Fire Explorers. The flow for the events includes scouts rotating through the learning stations they need to meet badge requirements. We aim for 10 -15 minute, interactive activities at most stations, although first aid, AED, and escape planning may go as long as 20 minutes.
