Fire Department reminds to change your clocks and smoke alarm/carbon monoxide batteries on November 1.

Change Your Clocks and Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Alarm Batteries Nov. 1

Remember to change the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide alarms when you set your clocks on Nov. 1. The exception is lithium battery powered alarms with batteries lasting 8-10 years. When you hear the low battery “chirp” for lithium battery powered alarms, you replace the entire alarm. You can find more information about smoke alarms on our website https://www.vrfa.org/community/safety-information/alarms-and-devices/
