New Year, New Progress: January 2026 Project Highlights

• The design team is preparing the Schematic Design Drawing Set for the Headquarters project. The next step will be to review and incorporate stakeholder feedback.
• Project bidding is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2026. Following bidding, contractor selection and contract finalization will take place.

Station 31

• A preconstruction meeting with the city of Auburn is scheduled for the end of January 2026. Outcomes from this meeting will guide next steps in permitting and approvals.
• The design team is preparing the Schematic Design Drawing Set for Station 31.
• Construction is anticipated to start in Fall 2026, pending completion of permitting and contractor selection.

Station 36

• Construction is underway and progressing well.
• The Water Resistant Barrier (WRB) exterior panels are now complete.
• The steel canopy at the fuel fill station has been finished.
• Crews are focusing on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough-ins inside the building. Miscellaneous site work and roofing are ongoing as weather permits.

Station 38

• Land Use & SEPA permits are currently under review by the city.
• The building permit will be submitted within the next few weeks.
• Project bidding is set for the first quarter of 2026.
• The Station Design Committee has finalized material preferences, and architects are now updating renderings for review.
