Capital Facilities Update – May 2026

The Administrative Headquarters project reached an important milestone in May, with four general contractor bids submitted for consideration. Permits have been approved by the City of Auburn and are currently awaiting final approval from the city council. Once approved, we will proceed to sign a contract with the apparent low bidder. We anticipate breaking ground and beginning construction in June.

Station 31

The Station 31 team is preparing to begin the permitting process, with submissions scheduled for later this summer. To ensure a thorough review and the best outcome for the project, the bid date has been postponed by a few months.

Station 36

The Station 36 project continues to make significant progress! On the exterior, crews are nearing completion of the siding and storefront windows. Fresh asphalt now lines the west side, providing dedicated parking for firefighters and the public. Additionally, the courtyard concrete has been poured, giving shape to the outdoor spaces.

Inside the station, the finishing touches are taking place. Flooring has been installed, cabinets are going up, painting is underway, and final details are being completed for the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The project is moving steadily toward completion, and we look forward to sharing more updates as we approach the finish line!

Station 38

The Station 38 project continues to move forward as permits remain under review with the city. We are anticipating construction to begin in July. The project was put out to bid on May 5th, and four general contractor bids have been received. Once permits are approved, we will move forward with a contract for the apparent low bidder and break ground soon after.
