Smoke Alarm Class

This class focuses on choosing the correct smoke alarm and/or carbon monoxide alarm for your home, as well as location, maintenance and replacement. To schedule a class, contact the Public Education Division at 253-288-5800.

Free Smoke Alarms For Seniors and Low-income Families

The Valley Regional Fire Authority has received grants from local and state organizations that allow for the distribution of free smoke detectors and batteries to senior citizens and low or fixed income families who live in the city limits of Auburn. To obtain a smoke detector, you must complete a smoke detector application and release form. Forms can be obtained by stopping by, or calling our headquarters fire station at 253-288-5800.

The fire department will install detectors and batteries for those who are unable to do so themselves.

View the VRFA calendar to find upcoming classes.
