Bike Helmet Program

A bicycle crash can happen anytime. A properly fitted bicycle helmet reduces the risk of head injury by as much as 85 percent. The VRFA Firefighters, Local 1352, provides properly fitted helmets to children and young adults they find riding without them. Thanks to generous community donations, helmets are carried on the fire engines and aid cars, as well as kept at the headquarters station.
